Minimum noise.\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eABOUT THE COLOR\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eLet's clear something up.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eGhost didn't simply spend a century politely fading into beige.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe extraordinarily pale palette is consistent with an \u003cstrong\u003eintentional color-reduction treatment\u003c\/strong\u003e commonly used to transform older Oriental rugs for more contemporary interiors.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThrough aggressive washing and\/or chemical treatment, much of the original dye was removed or dramatically muted while the underlying hand-knotted construction and pattern remained.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDifferent dyes and areas of wool responded differently.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThat's why Ghost isn't one flat shade of gray.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eLook closely and you'll find variations everywhere—silver becoming mushroom, ivory becoming stone, darker outlines appearing and disappearing across the field.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eThe color is gone.
